"I started my career in advertising in Indianapolis, Indiana from 1979-1986. From 1986-1996 I worked as a freelance hair artist in Chicago where I designed, packaged, staged, and also drew hairstyles for advertising.
In 1994 I attended Alameda Beauty School, where I later became an instructor in 2004. I owned my own salon Snip & Snap from 1996-2004.
I attended San Francisco Art Academy for two years to work on Anthony Wear that was featured in New York.
